KPOP Top 10 December 2011

Posted: January 2, 2012 in KPOP Jabeen Reviews

MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! We hope all of our readers/viewers are enjoying the relaxation of the holidays and for the students we wish you luck for your exams! This month has been pretty good considering the other months have not been up to par. We have seen great duets from individuals bands such as Hyuna and Hyunseung. Also festive songs to help us get into the mood of Christmas, without further ado our Top 10…

10. MBLAQ – White Forever

Although we haven’t seen much of these boys lately it was nice of them to make a Christmas song. Although it wasn’t that great in comparison to the other festive songs, it is still one to listen to. The boys showed their soft, strong vocals and impressed us greatly. The MV was an insight into the boys friendship and allowed us to become closer to them on Christmas. We hope these boys are ready for 2012!!

9. Orange Caramel – Funny Hunny

The MV to this song was hilarious!! Although it was so good it did take away our attention from the actual song. But still the storyline and the drawing of the MV were adorable and we saw ourselves replaying it again to watch it all over again. The song itself was average and it was the chorus that helped it to become so addictive. The soft vocals from the girls made the song epic and genius.

8. T-ara & Davichi – We Were In Love

T-ara have certainly been selling a lot singles out of just one album, whether all of them are good is still questionable. But this song with Davichi has shown their great vocals, even though we were already aware of them. The MV was absolutely beautiful, although they were just standing there; we got great camera angles of the girls faces and matched perfectly with the songs. The girls natural beauty shone since they were wearing minimal make up and we hope to see more good songs like this one.

7. X-5 – Dangerous

An average debut for a band but we can still feel the potential radiating from these guys. Their chorography was very good and with more practise they can challenge themselves in the future. A good song from them and we liked the edgy style they debuted with unlike the usual cutesy theme we have seen a lot of rookie boy bands doing. The beats in the song helped push the song to become more catchy and we can’t wait to see them grow.

6. Infinite – White Confession

Infinite have been on a good roll these few months, although this song wasn’t very suited to our taste we couldn’t deny the fact that they portrayed their great vocals. This MV showed a different side to the boys and unlike the usual sexy sharp boys we are used to seeing on stage we got to see a softer and romantic side. Their vocals were beautiful and matched perfectly with MV helping create a Christmas atmosphere.

5. Boyfriend – I’ll Be There

Another good song from Boyfriend, we can tell these boys are going grow as artists. Although we aren’t fans of the Christmas songs this month we felt this one was probably the best. The boys have showed their tight choreography in the past but this song was a nice change. The song showed their sweet and smooth vocals which suited the theme of Christmas, we hope these boys get more recognition.

4. Chocolat – I Like It

These girls are certainly going to big in the future. This song showcased more vocals of the other members instead of just Tia which made a nice change. The English used in the song was very impressive, even though the majority can speak it perfectly it still fitted in nicely. The chorus is very catchy and fits in with the beats perfectly. The choreography in the song impressed us and showed the level of maturity these girls have already gained.

3. Bang & Zelo – Never Give Up

Although we had a burning hatred for this song when we first listened to it, it has grown on us immensely. Plus since the song was aimed at students like us we couldn’t help but feel a link with the song. Also one of us is a avid fan of Bang Young Guk so we couldn’t hate the song. The gospel choir helped create the positive atmosphere of the whole song, matched nicely with the quick rapping skills from both boys. The MV itself was set in a school which fitted perfectly with the song.

2. EunHae – Oppa Oppa

As expected anyone from Super Junior can make amazing tracks. This song had us laughing from start to the end with hilarious (and sexy) gyrating hips from both members helped the audience gain some nice eye candy ;) Although the MV is a snippet from their concert, the song fitted perfectly! The chorus is so catchy and you can’t help but sing it once after listening to it, sometime even doing the same hair slicks as the two boys :P

1. Hyuna & HyunSeung – Trouble Maker

An AMAZING duet to kick start December!! This collaboration are a genius together, the MV was sizzling hot showing the duets perfect chemistry. Although Hyuna in the past has trouble controlling her sexiness in her videos, this time it worked magically. Hyunseung’s vocals made the song amazing, with the chorus slick and catchy. The whistling for the instrumental created an classic atmosphere to the song which was tied together with Hyuna’s rapping. This is song to definitely put on replay.

Christmas Special

Happy Pledis – Love Letter

Here’s another Christmas song that couldn’t make it onto our Top 10. We see the Pledis family collaborating together to help us celebrate Christmas with our loved ones. Each band portrayed their great vocals and we liked seeing the background of what each band get up to. We hope you all enjoy Christmas as much as these guys did!!
